Based out of the world-class Sudley Farm in West River, Maryland, Valerie Vizcarrondo Pride stays busy as an active competitor, trainer, agent, clinician and judge. She has competed through the five-star level of eventing and holds her FEI Level 2 license, which allows her to officiate through the four-star level.
While Valerie loves the thrill of competing, she finds great pleasure in working with students and horses on a daily, routine basis. Rest assured that anything and everything she does is accomplished with an abundance of enthusiasm and obsessive attention to detail!
Favian, aka ‘Black Beauty,’ is an extremely exciting horse in Valerie's Blue Clover Eventing lineup! He is stunning, a 16.2 2008 model Oldenburg gelding originally dressage bred by Anita Nardine of Hidden Springs Ranch (California). He’s by French Kiss out of a Relevant/Lord Liberty mare that was imported from Germany.
Favian used to have a drinking problem, where he refused to drink when traveling, until he tried Gallagher's Water! Now he drinks Gallagher's Water when trailering, before and after running a cross country course and for recovery after competitions.
Valerie and Favian's recent accomplishments include the first place ribbon in the CCI4*-S at the 2022 Mars Bromont CCI and a ninth place finish at the Land Rover Kentyucky Three Day Event in the CCI4*-S
