Covington, La – June 17, 2022 – Emerging at the top of the leaderboard after a challenging weekend, Gallagher's Water ambassador Valerie Pride and Favian secured the win at the Mars Equestrian Bromont CCI4*-S in Bromont, QC, on June 10-12, 2022. Based in Harwood, Maryland, with her business Blue Clover Eventing, Pride and her own Favian made the 600-mile trek to Quebec for the event.

After day 1 of dressage, Pride was in sixth with a score of 31.7. A demanding cross country track, Pride and Favian moved into first place. They finished the course with the fastest time of the day, only adding 19.2 time penalties to their overnight score, to head into show jumping with 50.9. After Sunday morning's jog, one combination withdrew, and four combinations remained for show jumping. All of the riders had at least one rail down, with Pride adding just one rail and a smidge of time to her score, ending the weekend on 56.5.

"I'm so thrilled for him," Pride said. "He just shows up for work every day and the fact that he could be one of the last men standing at this challenging four-star, I'm really proud of him." Pride and Favian will head to England in the fall to base with William Fox-Pitt with their sight set on Blenheim in September.

In a recap shared on her Blue Cover Eventing Facebook page, Pride shared, "Thank you, Sue Ockendon, and your amazing team for having us and doing everything you possibly could to defy the weather gods and put on your usual spectacular event. One of the most beautiful places in the world. We are so thankful and so privileged to be a part of this all. Thank you to my sponsors and team. You're the best!"

Favian (with his traveling buddy Theodore!) can be seen in a Facebook video with a bucket of Gallagher's Water hanging within reach during his travels. "[Gallagher's Water] is a 'water enhancer' (flavor that you add to encourage them to drink water)- perfect for competitions or travel or any time you need them to actually drink water or more water," Pride posted in a comment. Favian used to have a drinking problem when he traveled and would refuse to drink. Now his drinking problem is a thing of the past.

Gallagher's Water, the official hydration beverage of the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event, is proud to sponsor Valerie and Favian and is available for purchase online.
